Alta paving has extraordinary flexural strength, skid resistance and low water absorption that allows its use in traffic conditions with specific mortar and bed design. Alta Quartzite come in various natural shades of green
Basalt is a dark coloured fine-grained volcanic rock. The crystals in it are small and hardly visible because the rock has cooled down quickly from molten lava and the crystals did not have time to grow (unlike granite).
A mixture of silvery grey and golden tones make this a particularly attractive material.Also available as crazy paving
Porphyry is a metamorphic rock of igneous origin, this stone readily splits into naturally flat sheets. To produce rectangular paving, the edges can be sawn or split. Split-sided flags suit the garden, sawn-sided flags the market place or town centre. Colourwise, the flags are a rich, yet gentle, mixture of purple, warm grey and orange tones. The material also provides a superb sett for public and private use, crazy paving and walling stone.
This Slate has a strong 20-25mm thickness to give a durable, lasting floor that is suitable for indoor or outdoor use, and always gives an eyecatching effect.
